Red Deer’s River Bend ski trails have undergone a $1 million renovation during 2017 in preparation for the 2019 Canada Winter Games.  We’re excited to showcase our new trails at Westerns!

You may be wondering about snow conditions:

a) Mother nature has been stingy with snow, but River Bend still has a workable base in the upper hills thanks to the new, wide trails we have there. We don't need much new snow to get them into "race-shape".
b) More natural snow is on the way this week.
c) As of today, we are now officially making snow at River Bend!!!! As long as we have cold weather we will be making and moving snow.
d) If natural and human-made snow fail us, then our OC’s backup option is to move the event to Canmore.
