FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR NCCP COMP-DEV (L2C) PROGRAM – Cross Country Skiing
CCBC is pleased to announce that we intend to offer financial assistance for BC-based coaches to take NCCP L2C (Dryland) and L2C (On Snow) workshops AND/OR the required Comp-Dev multi-sport modules* during the 2025-26 ski year.
- Coaches that have not yet started the NCCP L2C program will be eligible to claim up to $900.00 towards their expenses if they successfully complete both L2C workshops and all four required multi-sport modules by March 31, 2026.
- Coaches that have already successfully completed the NCCP L2C Dryland workshop will be eligible to claim $360.00 towards their expenses if they successfully complete the NCCP L2C (On-Snow) workshop by March 31, 2026.
- Coaches that have already successfully completed both NCCP L2C Dryland and On-Snow workshops will be eligible to claim up to $440.50 towards their expenses if they successfully complete one or more of the required multi-sport modules (provided all four are completed by March 31, 2026).
Coaches applying for the above financial support will be asked to submit a claim for legitimate expenses that are not being covered by their club or other grants. In particular, we would expect clubs to apply for the LeadForward Grant for female coaches when it opens next, and northern clubs to apply for the Northern BC Coaching and Officiating Development Fund when it opens next. Both of these grants have a high success rate.
As you can imagine, this is a significant investment into coach development. As such, participants will require prior approval from their club coaching coordinator/president to ensure they are serious and committed to coaching at their club before they will be eligible for a subsidy.
NCCP L2C (Dryland) Workshop: June 12-15, 2025. Canmore, AB
NCCP L2C (On-Snow) Workshop: November 2025. Dates and location TBD.
*Online NCCP multi-sport modules required for cross-country ski coaches:
- Leading Drug Free Sport (3.5 hrs)
- Managing Conflict (4.5 hrs)
- Coaching and Leading Effectively (10 hrs)
- Psychology of Performance (7 hrs)
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Kindest regards,
