Julien Locke top Canadian at World Cup Finals Sprint in Falun, Sweden
The World Cup Finals in Falun, Sweden opened with a skate sprint race. Temperatures were just around zero celsius as the athletes headed out on the course for qualifying. Julien Locke (Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club, Nelson) was the top Canadian in 32nd place, just .06 seconds away from heats qualifying, after skiing through the halfway point in 29th. Alex Harvey had a slightly slower start and finished 0.2 seconds behind Locke in 34th.
