(FERNIE, B.C.) - Progress continues at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre in Fernie, BC! Just last month, a brand new bridge was installed to provide access to more cross country ski trails, linking the existing trails to Fernie Alpine Resort. Final touches are being made on approximately five more kilometers of trail, which will be set to open this winter. This work will conclude 'Phase 2' of the Elk Valley Nordic Centre. Phase 3 will see more loops added off of the main trail. The bridge spans over the beautiful Lizard Creek, and connects skiers to mature forest and incredible 360 degree mountain views. We're just about ready for snow...here's to a long, white winter!
